Prof. Dr. Fu-Min Zhang

Professor Fu-Min Zhang earned his master’s degree (under the supervision of Professor Xuan Tian) from Lanzhou University in 2001 and remained at the university as an Assistant Professor. He received his Ph.D. (under the supervision of Professor Yong-Qiang Tu) from Lanzhou University in 2006. From 2007 to 2008, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Mayo Clinic, USA (under the supervision of Professor Yuan-Ping Pang). In 2009 and 2014, he was appointed Associate Professor and Professor, respectively, at Lanzhou University. In 2020, he was named a "Cuiying Scholar" (Level III) in the inaugural cohort of Lanzhou University.

He has currently presided over (or completed) five General Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and has participated in several major and key projects of the NSFC, key research and development programs of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and major science and technology projects of the Ministry of Health. To date, he has published nearly 50 papers as the first author or corresponding author in academic journals such as J. Am. Chem. Soc., Nat. Commun., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Nat. Prod. Rep., CCS Chem., Chem. Sci., and Org. Lett. He has authored the chapter on "Ritter-type reaction" in Comprehensive Organic Synthesis (Third Edition, Elsevier Ltd.) and holds nine nationally authorized invention patents as the primary inventor.

He has received the First Prize of Natural Science of Gansu Province (fourth awardee) in 2006, the "Outstanding Supervisor" award for the Lanzhou University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Action Plan in 2015, the First Prize of Natural Science of the Ministry of Education (third awardee) in 2015, and the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award (third awardee) in 2016.
