Professor Xiao-Ming Zhang was graduated from the Base Class of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Lanzhou University, with a Bachelor's degree in June 2007. In June 2013, he received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Lanzhou University, under the supervision of Academician Prof. Yong-Qiang Tu. Since September 2013, he has been engaged in teaching and scientific research at the State Key Laboratory of Applied Organic Chemistry, Lanzhou University. His research focuses primarily on total synthesis of natural products and asymmetric catalysis. He has successfully completed the total synthesis of a series of Lycopodium alkaloids, natural sesquiterpenes, indole alkaloids, cephalotaxine, tetrahydroisoquinoline alkaloids, and the marine natural drug ET743. To date, he has published numerous research papers in internationally renowned journals such as Chem. Soc. Rev., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., ACS Catal., Chem. Sci., Org. Lett., and Chem. Commun.
